Divorce & Family Mediation

Helping families find a respectful path forward through divorce and family transitions.

Divorce & Family Mediation

When communication breaks down, there is a path forward.

Separation and divorce can make even the simplest conversations feel overwhelming. Misunderstandings, strong emotions, and uncertainty often make it difficult to focus on what matters most.

You don't have to navigate those conversations alone.

Whether you're working to develop a parenting plan, resolve family concerns, or improve communication, mediation provides a structured, respectful process where each person has the opportunity to be heard while working toward thoughtful, mutually acceptable solutions.

How Mediation Can Support Your Family

Mediation is a voluntary, confidential process that helps individuals resolve important issues outside of the courtroom through respectful conversation and collaborative problem-solving.

As a neutral mediator, my role is not to decide who is right or wrong, nor to take sides. Instead, I help facilitate productive conversations, clarify concerns, explore options, and guide parents toward practical agreements that reflect the unique needs of their family.

Rather than facing difficult conversations alone, you'll have an experienced, impartial guide to help you remain focused, informed, and engaged throughout the mediation process.

Mediation may help you:

  • Develop child custody and parenting plan agreements, including parenting time schedules

  • Strengthen co-parent communication and reduce unnecessary conflict

  • Address child-centered decision-making

  • Resolve disagreements through respectful dialogue

  • Prepare for future co-parenting challenges

  • Preserve important family relationships whenever possible

  • Save time and expense by resolving issues outside of court

  • Create durable agreements that work in everyday life

My Approach

Every family has its own history, strengths, and challenges. I believe meaningful agreements are more likely to emerge when people feel heard, respected, and given the opportunity to fully express what matters most to them.

My approach emphasizes active listening, thoughtful reflection, and creating a respectful environment where difficult conversations become possible. While remaining neutral throughout the process, I work to help each person better understand not only the issues being discussed, but also the perspectives and concerns that often lie beneath them.

Whenever children are involved, I believe they deserve to remain at the center of every conversation. While the marital relationship may end, the parenting relationship continues. Together, we'll focus on creating practical, child-centered agreements that support your children's well-being while helping you build a respectful foundation for co-parenting in the years ahead.

What to Expect

Mediation is a flexible process designed to meet the needs of each family. Some matters can be resolved in a single session, while others benefit from additional time for reflection, gathering information, or trying solutions before making longer-term decisions.

Our sessions move at a thoughtful pace, allowing opportunities to explore options, revisit agreements when appropriate, and work toward solutions that feel realistic and sustainable for everyone involved.

Beyond the Agreement

Reaching an agreement is an important milestone, but it's only the beginning of your family's next chapter.

The skills you develop through mediation—respectful communication, thoughtful problem-solving, and keeping your children's needs at the center of decisions—can continue to support your co-parenting relationship long after the mediation process ends.

As children grow, their developmental, educational, and social needs naturally change. A parenting plan that works well today may benefit from thoughtful adjustments in the future. Revisiting your parenting plan doesn't mean the original agreement wasn't successful — it often reflects the reality that families evolve over time.

When new challenges arise, you don't have to navigate them alone. Whether you need to review a parenting schedule, address changing circumstances, or work through new concerns together, I'm here to support your family in finding practical, child-centered solutions for each new stage along the way.
